When considering the expenses involved in chartering a yacht or boat for the day in Ibiza, it’s essential to grasp the various components that contribute to the overall cost.

Charter Fee:

The base charter fee encompasses the rental cost of the yacht for an 8-hour duration, inclusive of a 21% VAT and basic mooring. To confirm your reservation, a 50% deposit is required upon booking, with the remaining 50% due on the day of embarkation.

Fuel Costs:

Fuel expenses are never included into the base charter fee and are contingent upon factors such as cruising speed and distance covered during the charter. Your expert broker will be able to provide you with a rough estimate.

Other Costs to Consider:

Water Toys:

While snorkeling gear and paddle boards are typically provided on most day charter yachts and boats in Ibiza, additional water toys like Jet Skis, SeaBobs, SeaScooters, WakeBoards, water skis, or towable inflatables are usually not included. These items are available for an extra rental fee and may require an additional security deposit.

Dining:

Guests often opt to dine at beachfront restaurants for lunch. It’s advisable to conduct prior research to avoid unexpected expenses, as restaurant prices can vary significantly. Alternatively, guests are welcome to bring their own food, beverages, and alcohol onboard. Catering services or a private chef can also be arranged in advance upon request.

Mooring Costs:

The base mooring is reserved for the entirety of the charter day. Should guests choose to return to the marina ahead of schedule their more then welcome to stay onboard in the marina as long as it’s within the 8-hour timeframe. However, if mooring at an alternate marina is desired during the charter, additional charges will apply based on the respective marina’s rates.

Crew Gratuities:

While not obligatory, it is customary to offer tips to the skipper or crew. The industry standard ranges from 5% to 15% of the base charter fee, to be divided among the crew members accordingly.
